Job Title: Academic Advisor - Nursing Program

St. John's University is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Advisor to join our team in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. As an Academic Advisor, you will play a critical role in supporting the academic success of our nursing students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide academic advisement to nursing students, including registration and course selection
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation
  • Assist with the processing of potential transfer students and track student progression
  • Develop and implement academic success plans for students experiencing academic difficulty
  • Provide counseling and support for program changes and scheduling
  • Assist with student recruitment efforts and represent the College on various University committees
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in education, counseling, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in higher education, preferably in nursing advisement
  • Knowledge of Banner, DegreeWorks, Xtender, and Canvas
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
