Overview
As a pivotal member of the air traffic management team, you will function as a Radar Controller at a Level 12 radar facility, ensuring the safe, organized, and efficient movement of air traffic.
Key Responsibilities
Your primary role will involve operating as a Radar Controller at a Level 12 radar approach control facility, tasked with maintaining the secure, systematic, and swift flow of air traffic.
A Level 12 radar approach control is defined by a traffic density measure of 100 or more instrument operations per hour.
It is essential for the incumbent to exhibit a positive and collaborative demeanor towards system users and operators.
Qualifications
To qualify for Certified Professional Controller (CPC) positions in terminal and en route options, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Specialized Experience: Must have been facility rated or area certified in an ATO terminal/en route facility.
Rating and Evaluation:
In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, candidates will be assessed based on the FAA Form dated 6/00, which evaluates Air Traffic Experience for AT Movement.
Employees who have not achieved facility radar certification at a level 10 or above Terminal facility will be required to successfully complete the Ten Eleven Twelve Radar Assessment (TETRA).
Education Requirements
This position necessitates a positive educational background:
Applicants must provide a copy of their college or university transcripts and certificates by the application deadline to validate their qualifications. An official transcript will be required prior to appointment.
