Job SummaryThis is a full-time W2 position offering excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits. The ideal candidate will have a Master in Nursing for NP or Bachelors in Physician Assistant Studies for PA from an accredited program and a minimum of 2 years experience in a family practice or other primary care setting within the past 3 years.
Responsibilities- Provide a full range of outcome-based nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the MTF.
- Technically direct and teach other staff, provide educational lectures, and participate in inservice training to staff members.
- Promote preventive care and health maintenance, including annual physicals, positive health behaviors, and self-care through both formal and individual education and counseling.
- Prescribe in accordance with approved treatment protocols and the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee approved medications and immunizations.
- Identify a medical problem and determine appropriate action to meet the problem, including referral to a physician.
- Perform specific diagnostic and therapeutic practices and procedures in accordance with scope of practice.
- Establish collaborative rapport with physician, nursing, and others to promote and facilitate primary care services.
- Teach patients and family members healthy regimen and responsibility for achieving wellness.
- Active unrestricted license as an NP or PA in any state.
- Board Certification: ANCC or AANP for Nurse Practitioner; NCCPA for Physician Assistant.
- Life Support Certifications: BLS ACLS and PALS are required.
- Security: Must be able to pass a Government background check and obtain a Government security clearance.
The pay scale for this position is $78/hr to $102/hr, to be determined based on employment options, qualifications, experience, and location. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and life insurance, as well as a 401K plan with matching contributions.
Work ScheduleThe work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8.5 hours between 7:00am and 6:30pm, with no weekends, holidays, or call/no call.
