Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner

Shasta Community Health Center is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Job Summary:
As a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner, you will provide high-quality healthcare services to our patients, working under the supervision of our assigned physician supervisor. You will be an integral part of our clinician staff, participating in Medical Staff and PA/NP meetings, as well as other projects and committees of Shasta Community Health Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history and physical exams.
- Order diagnostic tests and implement therapeutic treatment measures, adhering to scope of practice guidelines.
- Consult with supervising physicians when necessary, ensuring high-quality patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, providing education and answering questions.
- Participate in peer review processes, demonstrating competent knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with support staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Perform other duties within the scope of practice, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completed a nationally accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
- California license to practice medicine, with no limitations.
- Current certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Inc., or the American Nurses' Association.
- CPR certification, with ongoing maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an outpatient clinic or doctor's office.
- ACLS certification.
- BCLS certification.
