Job Summary

MyCareersFuture is seeking a highly skilled Storage and Backup Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our storage and backup infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and administer storage systems, including RAID storage and Storage Area Network (SAN) components.
  • Maintain storage aspects of new server integrations, storage allocations, and change management.
  • Perform setup procedures to consolidate storage of data from different platforms (i.e. Windows, UNIX, and LINUX).
  • Troubleshoot and fix storage issues, and perform routine equipment checks and preventative maintenance.
  • Perform storage analysis, capacity planning, and performance planning of storage components.
  • Document policies and procedures to support the operational storage environment, and participate in the design and refinement of procedures and policies.
  • Prepare reports on storage administration best practices, new technologies, and recommend enhancements and configuration changes to improve and optimize storage.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience and good knowledge in Avamar Backup Solution, EMC VNX series.
  • Relevant certification in Storage administration is an added advantage.
