About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Hygiene Specialist to join our team at Hodosh Implant and Cosmetic Dentistry. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our practice.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality periodontal therapies and hygiene-related services to patients, with a focus on improving oral health and preventing disease.
  • Conduct thorough patient screenings, medical histories, and dental charting to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
  • Apply fluoride and protective sealants to prevent tooth decay and promote healthy teeth and gums.
  • Remove calculus, stain, and plaque from above and below the gum line to maintain optimal oral health.
  • Provide nutritional counseling and self-care programs to patients to empower them to take control of their oral health.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the smooth operation of the practice.
Requirements
  • Active hygiene license for the state of RI or in the process of obtaining one.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and management.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and charts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies in dental hygiene.
