Job Title: NICET Technician II

At Allied Universal Technology Services, we're seeking a highly skilled NICET Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our security technology installation team, you'll be responsible for installing, programming, and configuring commercial electronic security systems for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and program commercial electronic security systems, including fire systems, door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and low voltage communication systems.
  • Troubleshoot new security installations to ensure systems are functioning properly and meet contract requirements.
  • Supervise Installation Technician I's on a job as assigned by the Installation Manager.
  • Drive to client sites to perform system installations and confirm systems are operating effectively.
  • Run electrical wiring and perform related activities, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
  • Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment, and security software installation.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean-up.
Requirements:
  • High School Degree, Vocational School, or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry installing field devices, programming systems, and managing small jobs.
  • Experience with software such as Software House, Lenel, AMAG, S2, Brivo, Milestone, Exacq, Axis, Bosch, Commend, DMP, Open Options, Notifier, Fluidmesh, or ONSSI preferred.
  • Possess or has the ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired (Low Voltage D license, Alarm Installer Lic., etc.).
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum direction.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to be on-call on a rotational basis.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with at least one year of driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to safely operate a vehicle.
