About the Role

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading, communicating, and training warehouse area-specific teams. Your expertise will be essential in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and distributing materials, tools, equipment, and products within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train employees on warehouse functions and processes, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Provide daily support and guidance to warehouse employees, addressing their queries and concerns.
  • Collaborate closely with the inside sales team to resolve internal and external issues, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated areas, maintaining a well-organized and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins, following a predetermined sequence to optimize storage and retrieval.
  • Fulfill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Assemble customer orders from stock, placing them on pallets or shelves, or conveying them to the packing station or shipping area.
  • Mark materials with identifying information, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers, inspecting contents for damage or defects.
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Operate a forklift to transport stored items from shelves to the package area for shipment, ensuring safe and efficient movement.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

  • Good knowledge of SAP and ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift, with the ability to become certified.
  • Knowledge of order picking, receiving product, and understanding how to piece orders together, as well as outbound product loading/unloading.
  • Product on racking and bulk storage, and cycle counting.
  • General warehouse safety is strongly desired.
