About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team at Psynergy Programs. As a Peer Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing individualized support and promoting self-determination and decision-making for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in monitoring activities and whereabouts of clients/residents to ensure their general health, safety, and well-being.
  • Encourage clients to attend activities, groups, and scheduled appointments.
  • Offer counseling and support to clients.
  • Assist Residential Caregivers in supporting daily living activities, including feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, and leisure activities.
  • Monitor behavioral changes, documenting and reporting observations.
  • Assist in groups or recreational activities, such as shopping.
  • Provide transportation of clients in agency vehicles to off-site outings and appointments.
  • Assist and support clients in all areas of daily living, rehabilitation, and treatment.

Requirements:

  • Full Vaccination against COVID-19 (CA required).
  • High school diploma - required.
  • Bachelor's degree - preferred.
  • Great attitude - required.
  • A good driving record and be at least 25 years of age (per insurance policy) - required.
  • Experience working in behavioral health or in residential care - preferred.
