Job Title: Facilities Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at the Bedford-Stuyvesant Family Health Center. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and perform specialized facilities management work, including fire and disaster drills, maintenance, repair, and modification of equipment, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Develop and implement predictive, preventive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs, including maintenance check sheets and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Provide advice and consultation to Center personnel on facilities management matters, including compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Manage projects, including budget preparation, project execution, and resolution of complex work problems.
  • Direct new construction and renovation projects, including design, supervision of contractors, and compliance with regulations.
  • Recommend work equipment and maintenance standards, procedures, and performance criteria.
  • Oversee on-site inspections, assist inspectors, and provide reports as required.
  • Prepare facilities reports and analyses for presentation to management.
  • Assess and communicate recommendations for space utilization, equipment, personnel, and other resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or certification preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED, or extensive experience as a handyman.
  • 5 years of experience in facilities operations management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Valid NYS driver's license with less than 4 points and satisfactory status required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in construction a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, including email and texting.
  • Plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills, short of licensed trade.
  • Custodial and maintenance skills, including cleaning, vacuuming, and floor care.
Benefits:

Salary: $65,000 and based on experience.
