Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Sergeant, the Automotive Technician II is responsible for maintaining a fleet of vehicles, performing routine maintenance on automotive equipment, scheduling and delivering vehicles to dealers and service providers for repairs, making minor vehicle repairs, and maintaining records of parts, inventories, fleet mileage records, dealer repairs, and warranty service for the Winterhaven Area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a fleet of vehicles in good working condition.
  • Perform routine maintenance on automotive equipment.
  • Schedule and deliver vehicles to dealers and service providers for repairs.
  • Make minor vehicle repairs.
  • Maintain records of parts, inventories, fleet mileage records, dealer repairs, and warranty service.
Requirements:
  • Valid California Drivers License (CDL).
  • Pass a Drug Screening.
  • Clear a Background Investigation.
  • Medical Clearance.
