Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Specialist to join our team at Citizens Energy Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our Geographic Information System (GIS) data for wastewater and water systems.

Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and applicable codes to create and modify deliverables.
  • Review data requirements and accurately determine the correct format and content of the required deliverables.
  • Perform GIS data entry and edits for wastewater and water network systems.
  • Conduct data investigations, asbuilt research, field network surveys, and GPS activities to validate and improve the integrity of the GIS data for underground assets.
  • Assist in coordinating deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, equivalency Certificate, or sufficient education acceptable by management.
  • 6 years of related experience and/or training or 4 years of Citizens experience.
  • Valid drivers license in the United States, or alternate approved by management. State of Indiana drivers license required within 30 days of first day of employment.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications
  • GIS Professional Certification.
  • Associate Degree in GIS or a related Engineering Design Technology.
  • Working knowledge in ESRI GIS and AutoCAD softwares.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides and Citizens policies and procedures.
  • Intermediate ability to interpret engineering deliverable content as assigned.
