- Facilitate patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
- Conduct patient registration and verify insurance coverage accurately.
- Assist with patient portal sign-up and collect messages for routing to the clinical team.
- Handle prior authorizations and manage departmental work queues effectively.
Education: High School diploma or GED required.
Experience: 6 months to 1 year in a healthcare or receptionist role preferred.
Licenses/Certifications: Additional formal education in Business or Healthcare is advantageous.
Essential Skills and Abilities- Experience in a healthcare business setting.
- Strong computer and customer service skills.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, including ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
- Proficient in using internet, email, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize work efficiently while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
Perform check-in/check-out functions, ensuring all applicable copays and patient balances are collected. Utilize healthcare software to manage communications and facilitate care referrals.
