Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze malfunctions and repairs, and perform preventative maintenance and regular repairs on various pieces of heavy equipment, including Vermeer Drills, Bulldozers, Excavators, Backhoes, loaders, and skid steers.
  • Troubleshoot problems, discussing with equipment manager options for making economical and durable repairs.
  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and equipment on a company-wide basis, including oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters, and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
  • Order parts and supplies, and adjust functional parts of devices, control instruments, and all types of equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, and test equipment performance before and after repairs.
  • Operate and maintain company-owned field service truck, and report status of work orders on mobile devices.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Heavy equipment mechanic experience/degree required.
  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens.
  • Satisfactory result of pre-employment background screening if applicable.
  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record is preferred.
  • Class A CDL preferred.
Environment:

Sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions. Working safely requires quick/accurate hands-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
