We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Steward I to join our team at Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel. As a Steward I, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our food and beverage outlets.
Key Responsibilities- Sort and Clean Dishes: Promptly and carefully sort soiled ware to ensure it is properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Operate Dish Machine: Keep the dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water to maintain hotel standards.
- Polish Silverware: Operate the burnishing machine to ensure proper finish on silverware and de-tarnish and polish silver for a polished appearance.
- Clean Kitchen Equipment: Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots, and pans promptly and completely to ensure cooks can carry out their work efficiently.
- Meet Attendance Requirements: Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
- Perform Other Duties: Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Stewarding Supervisor or Restaurant Outlets.
- Knowledge of Service Ware: Knowledge of service ware and how to maintain it to complement the guest experience.
- Physical Strength and Stamina: Ability to push/pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds and transport heavy objects through a crowded room.
- Effective Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills to adapt to different audiences.
