AlixPartners is seeking a highly skilled eDiscovery & Data Forensics Consultant - Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our eDiscovery practice, you will be responsible for implementing protocols for the e-discovery life cycle, including internal standards and best practices for preservation and collection of electronic evidence.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement e-discovery protocols and procedures to ensure efficient and effective data collection and preservation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address client needs, actively participate in client discussions and meetings.
- Master a range of industry-standard software tools to perform custom solutions to client requirements.
- Advise clients on data collection and management for large-scale litigation cases, including document retention and chain-of-custody procedures.
- Create and manage large data sets, ensuring clients' electronic files are easily accessible for potential litigation.
- Use a problem-solving approach to overcome unexpected technical and operational challenges.
- Communicate with clients and colleagues in written and oral form, including drafting reports and presentations to clients.
- Perform quality control review over work product.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- Preferred 1-2 years of professional or consulting experience, or internship experience or coursework that developed technical, analytical, and general business skills.
- Preferred working experience with industry-standard software tools, such as EnCase, Cellebrite, BlackBag, Microsoft SQL Server, Visual Basic, Microsoft.NET framework, Microsoft Access, SQL, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes/Domino, Relativity, Brainspace.
- Experience working on litigation cases alongside forensic accounting and legal teams.
- Ability to engage technically while also bringing commercial acumen and client-facing confidence.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple tasks, self-prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% based on client demands.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Willingness to work outside of normal U.S. business hours and in a remote environment.
- Ability to work full-time in an office and remote environment, with physical ability to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.
