Key Responsibilities
This role serves as a section supervisor within the Cyber Security and Compliance division of the Information Technology Directorate, specifically within the NAF Business and Support Services Division. You will lead a team of professionals in a dynamic, family-oriented environment dedicated to serving Marines and their families.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Cyber Security Operations Center across the NAF enterprise. You will provide the necessary technical guidance to ensure robust security measures are implemented across the organization's IT networks and resources.

Specific Duties Include:
- Direct supervision of Security Operations Center activities.
- Application of knowledge regarding systems, networks, and data flow to secure business IT initiatives.
- Monitoring and reporting on insider threats and technological anomalies.

You will be accountable for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data through the analysis, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information security tools and processes. Additionally, you will manage incident response and reporting as the Tier 3 Cyber Security Service Provider for Marine Corps NAFIs.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Your supervisory duties will encompass:
- Assigning and distributing tasks, coaching, and mentoring team members.
- Approving leave requests and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensuring adherence to EEO principles and preventing workplace harassment.

Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or a related field is required, along with five years of relevant experience in digital information management or incident handling. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience demonstrating equivalent knowledge and skills will be considered.

Applicants should possess a solid understanding of the operational impacts of cyber security breaches, cyber threats, and vulnerabilities. Familiarity with business continuity and disaster recovery plans is essential, as is knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in cybersecurity and privacy.

Skills Required:
- Proficiency in risk management processes and secure configuration management techniques.
- Ability to conduct audit log analysis and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Competence in preserving evidence integrity and protecting networks against malware.

As a condition of employment, candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance to access classified information. This position is classified as a cyber security incident responder at level 3 IAT and has been designated as Moderate Risk.
