Cyber Intelligence Analyst Job Description

ManTech is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Intelligence Analyst to support our current NCIS contract out of Quantico, VA. As a Cyber Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating cyber threats to our nation's security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review raw NetFlow data to identify malicious cyber activity and process information to ensure timely, actionable intelligence is shared with key stakeholders.
  • Identify cyber threats, threat vectors, and attacker methodologies, including tools, tactics, and procedures, and analyze them in the context of the Cyber Kill Chain or ATT&CK framework.
  • Correlate data from intrusion detection and prevention systems with data from other sources, such as firewall, web server, and DNS logs, to identify indicators of compromise and evaluate identified attacks.
  • Support counterintelligence investigations and operations involving a Federal Law Enforcement agency.
  • Report on underlying patterns of behavior by conducting detailed analysis of incidents, threats, and risks, and associated impacts and consequences, vulnerabilities, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), and other malicious and non-malicious indicators.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of experience in cyber threat hunting, with familiarity with network log analysis, including Netflow, DNS, Web Detail, Email Data, and TCP three-way handshake process.
  • Experience with Domain Tools, VirusTotal, Chameleon, Maltego, and managed attribution accounts.
  • Knowledge of IC-level research and analytical techniques, as applied to highly complex assignments in counterintelligence and criminal intelligence analysis.
  • Experience identifying intelligence gaps, specifying collection requirements to fill gaps, and developing analytical tools and methodologies to cope with gaps.
  • Experience leveraging and exploiting social media, and a variety of commercial and government open source databases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical understanding in network communication using TCP/IP protocols, basic understanding of malware, or intermediate knowledge of computer network defense operations.
  • Possess effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce activity- and national-level intelligence products.
  • DIA analytical writing tradecraft.
  • CEH Certification, Security +CE, GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence (GCTI), or Publicly Available Information (PAI) analysis experience.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Secret with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.

  • Sedentary Work.
