We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist to join our team at UofL Health. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a critical role in processing, mounting, cutting, and staining tissue samples for diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Perform processing, mounting, cutting, staining, and cover slipping of tissue samples
- Conduct quality control of the laboratory area
- Perform clerical duties, including data entry and answering phone calls
- Monitor quality assurance and implement improvements as needed
- Work collaboratively with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals
- Assist with frozen section processing and staining
- Participate in training and education of histotechnicians, residents, and other laboratory staff
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Life Sciences
- HTL or HT certification
- Previous experience working in an anatomic pathology laboratory is preferred
