We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Oversight Technician to join our team at Environmental Consultants (ECI). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and laws related to transmission line construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide environmental compliance and construction oversight on transmission site development and linear transmission line construction projects.
  • Conduct environmental inspections and ensure compliance with permits, including road use permits, natural resource protection act permits, and Corp of Engineers permits.
  • Develop and implement stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPPs) and erosion and sediment control measures.
  • Collaborate with project management to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and laws.
  • Communicate with utility clients, contractors, landowners, and the general public to ensure effective project execution.
Requirements:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in environmental science, construction management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in compliance-related site development work and/or utility construction permitting.
  • Strong understanding of NPDES, SCDHEC, and SWPPP implementation and inspections.
  • Successful completion of a stormwater, erosion control inspector training program or a similar competency program.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and public relation skills.
