Position Overview:
RWJBH is in search of a Clinical Nurse Educator to support our Medical Surgical departments at the New Brunswick campus.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing, specifically with Surgical Oncology patients
- National certification in clinical specialty
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and presentation abilities
- Proficient in computer applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or currently enrolled in an MSN program nearing completion
Licenses and Certifications Required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
- Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
Scheduling Requirements:
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday with occasional weekend obligations
- Full-Time position
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement orientation programs for new staff, develop and deliver ongoing education, and conduct in-service training in line with NJ Board of Nursing regulations and institutional standards
- Evaluate and enhance educational activities for new hires
- Maintain accurate employee training records
- Act as a resource for educational initiatives and promote learning within the Nursing Division
- Ensure compliance with competency requirements set by regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and provide educational resources that uphold quality and best practices
