Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and direct site-wide quality management system (QMS) and continuous improvement (CI) activities to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Actively deploy and coach the organization on QMS and CI tools, facilitating Kaizen events and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the creation of key metrics for company-wide performance measurement and develop performance dashboards.
- Lead and facilitate cross-functional problem-solving and process improvement teams to identify and implement sustainable process improvements.
- Identify improvement opportunities across functional areas and value streams, and develop and implement corrective actions.
- Support the development of QMS and CI candidates, and provide coaching and mentoring to ensure their success.
- Develop and maintain 5S and model cell methodologies to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Facilitate root cause identification and corrective actions, including the implementation of temporary countermeasures.
- Coordinate and champion the identification of non-value-added activities throughout the organization.
- Coordinate and lead facility layout and design projects to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Create and update standard playbooks to ensure consistency and best practices.
- Demonstrate experience with Hoshin Kanri/Strategic Policy Deployment and help define and promote the company's QMS and CI vision, methodology, practices, and tooling.
- Coach and mentor teams to provide QMS and CI transformation strategy and implementation advice.
- Ensure QMS and CI/Lean competencies and capabilities are developed across functional areas.
- Develop and maintain QMS and CI training material and curriculum to enable continued development of internal capability.
- Quantify and publicize the realized benefits of QMS and CI improvements as it applies to the company's financial performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Technical, or Business-related discipline with 4-5 years of experience.
- MBA or Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 2 years in a regulated manufacturing environment such as medical device/pharmaceutical/IVD preferred.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Lean tools/methodologies concepts - Lean Certification highly desirable.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Toyota Production System experience highly desirable.
- Ability to translate performance improvement to financial performance.
- Ability to utilize presentation skills to influence others to meet project objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of process controls techniques including statistical process control and data analysis techniques.
