FHN Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our team in a telemetry setting. As a Traveling Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient care in a telemetry setting, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop plans to address these needs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in patient care.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of recent telemetry experience.
  • Must have experience with drip medications.
  • Meditech experience is a plus.
  • Experience in Cath Lab post recovery and stroke care is highly preferred.

Work Schedule:

12 hour shifts (or ). Scheduled based on unit's most pressing needs. Every other weekend work is required. Holiday rotation is mandatory.

Unit Specific Information:

  • Nurse to Patient Ratios: 4-5 for day shifts, 5-6 for night shifts.
  • Staffing with Nurse Aides on the unit, ratio dependent on the patient's acuity.
  • Nurses are not required to titrate drips but must handle common titratable medications.
  • Monitored telemetry unit with coverage including central telemetry.
  • Floating may be required to units such as ICU, Med/Surg, and ER within the scope of practice. ER boarders are a possibility.
  • No call or standby requirement for agency staff; core staff may have a requirement.

  • Travelers previously employed at any FHN Memorial location must disclose their employment for a DNU check.
