Radiology Services Manager Job Summary

The Radiology Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of radiology services, ensuring adherence to productivity and quality standards, as well as internal policy and external regulations. This role involves monitoring staff utilization and productivity, reviewing test results to ensure appropriate application of equipment and imaging systems, and adjusting protocols as needed to achieve high-quality results.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiology, with experience in supervising licensed technologists and managing departmental procedures and policies. They will be able to recommend improvements to departmental procedures and policies to provide patients with the highest quality services.

This role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement initiatives. The Radiology Services Manager will also be responsible for training radiology technologists on new techniques, systems, operations, and regulations, and mentoring staff in meeting professional goals and developing growth areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations of radiology services, ensuring adherence to productivity and quality standards
  • Monitor staff utilization and productivity, reviewing test results to ensure appropriate application of equipment and imaging systems
  • Adjust protocols as needed to achieve high-quality results
  • Recommend improvements to departmental procedures and policies to provide patients with the highest quality services
  • Train radiology technologists on new techniques, systems, operations, and regulations
  • Mentor staff in meeting professional goals and developing growth areas

Requirements:

  • 9 years of related experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration, or related area plus 5+ years of relevant experience/training
  • Licensed technologist in a radiology modality
  • Experience with subject matter knowledge of a radiology modality, with ability to apply principles to an acute care setting to ensure operations meet regulatory standards
