Overview:

Holtec International, a leading supplier of products and services to the nuclear power industry, is seeking an experienced Dry Fuel Storage Design and Licensing Specialist to join our Corporate Engineering Division.

The ideal candidate will assist in the successful implementation of dry fuel storage and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and client needs. This role involves coordinating design modifications, reviewing technical documentation, and interfacing with internal teams to support engineering design and manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and licensing of new dry fuel storage and transportation systems
  • Collaboration with design personnel to ensure regulatory compliance and quality assurance standards
  • Preparation, review, and maintenance of documentation for engineering design modifications and on-site manufacturing
  • Interface with technical discipline teams and review technical materials prepared by others
  • Assistance with safety analysis report revisions and preparation

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university and demonstrate relevant experience in dry cask storage design or operations, nuclear licensing, manufacturing support, or a comparable field. Additionally, they should have excellent written and oral communication skills, proficiency in MS Office Suite, and Adobe Professional.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with 10 CFR Part 72 and/or 10 CFR Part 71 regulations
  • Experience with US NRC guidance related to 10CFR Part 71 and Part 72 implementation (Regulatory Guides, Standard Review Plans, Interim Staff Guidance documents, Generic Communications)
  • Knowledge of 72.48, 72.212, and/or 50.59 processes
