Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at ResCare Community Living. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in a variety of settings.
Responsibilities:- Provide individualized care to clients, following their personalized plans of care and maintaining their dignity and independence.
- Monitor clients' vital statistics and report any abnormal findings to the case manager and physician.
- Administer medications, feedings, oxygen, and ostomy care as needed, and assess the results.
- Complete routines established by other care professionals, such as Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists.
- Ensure infection control policies are maintained at all times and report any possible communicable diseases or infections.
- Accurately document nursing actions, communicate with family, case manager, and physicians, and document progress and outcomes for established goals.
- Order supplies, medications, and feedings as needed to ensure adequate amounts are on hand.
- Ensure all patient needs are met in accordance with physician instructions.
- Monitor incidents involving individuals and ensure incident reports are completed timely and accurately.
- Ensure all medical equipment is maintained and report faulty equipment to Durable Medical Equipment for repair.
- Proof of current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing from the state(s) of practice.
- Current Cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
- Ability to work in a home-like setting.
- Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, sit, and walk for periods of time.
- Able to utilize proper body mechanics while lifting 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of individual service plans, including understanding of client rights and health needs.
- Must have completed post-secondary coursework to facilitate licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.

Salary Range:
USD $32.00 / Hour
