Licensed Vocational Nurse

As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Adventist Health Simi Valley, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our outpatient setting. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), you will perform procedures that require specialized training and provide related services for assigned patients.
You will participate in the planning and provision of patient care, utilizing your knowledge of asepsis to perform treatments such as sterile dressings, irrigations, and cauterizations. Additionally, you will provide functional direction to ancillary personnel and contribute to the development of a prioritized interdisciplinary plan of care for each patient.
Essential Functions:- Provides care for assigned patients under the supervision of an RN, adhering to established standards and nursing process.
- Performs admission assessments and ongoing re-assessments based on departmental-specific policy and procedures.
- Assists in the development of a prioritized interdisciplinary plan of care for each patient.
- Implements and coordinates the plan of care, utilizing appropriate organizational skills and reporting mechanisms.
- Administers medications and performs assigned clinical procedures, such as phlebotomy, injections, and drug screens.
- Maintains neatness and cleanliness in assigned areas and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Health Care Provider certification: Required
