Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Health Information Management (HIM) Document Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a crucial member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately index and process medical documents to maintain the integrity of our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Ensure adherence to hospital productivity and quality standards for all indexing and quality control (QC) tasks.
• Effectively manage work assignments using our distributed control system and QC work queues.
• Protect patient privacy and confidentiality by handling Protected Health Information (PHI) with utmost care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scanning and indexing procedures to meet established metrics.
• Communicate any issues or concerns to management in a timely manner.
• Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy of medical records in both electronic and hard copy formats.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical records data management
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills
