Job Summary

A Polysomnographic Technician plays a crucial role in assisting the Technologist with comprehensive Polysomnographic testing and analysis, as well as associated interventions under the direct supervision of a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and/or the clinical director (MD, PhD, DO) or designee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in accomplishing goals and objectives as a team member within the organization.
  • Demonstrate a positive customer service attitude and achieve positive survey feedback in the 90th percentile or greater.
  • Participate in data collection and complete departmental documentation and record keeping according to policy.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, preparation, cleaning, and sterilization as directed by the Director or other staff.
  • Collaborate with other health team members and resolve problems appropriately using the chain of command.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Clinical Polysomnography, RRT/CRT preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a respiratory therapy setting preferred.
  • Training per licensure.
  • Certificate of completion from School of Clinical Polysomnography.
Work Environment

The work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood or other body fluids.
