In this pivotal role, you will oversee a workforce of over 90 operators at our client location, ensuring effective management of attendance, orientation, safety protocols, and daily human resources functions.

This position operates on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call support as necessary.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting comprehensive new hire orientations to cover all client onboarding information and performing check-ins for new employees on their initial workday.
  • Auditing onboarding requirements to ensure compliance with new hire protocols.
  • Creating and managing reports to identify workforce challenges while communicating staffing needs to the client for optimal productivity.
  • Participating in client forecasting meetings to stay informed about current and future business and staffing requirements.
  • Managing daily attendance and headcount documentation.
  • Processing weekly payroll and maintaining an accurate timekeeping system.
  • Conducting investigations into safety incidents and participating in client safety and operational efficiency discussions.
  • Managing workers' compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Collaborating with client management and supervisors to maintain strong relationships across departments.
  • Overseeing associate onboarding/offboarding processes and conducting performance evaluations.

Qualifications for Success:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in MS Excel.
  • Strong professional communication skills across various platforms.
  • Effective listening and response capabilities to influence decision-makers.
  • Skilled in conflict and crisis management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in human resources, including risk management, safety, and workers' compensation.
  • Familiarity with process-oriented environments.
  • Experience with timekeeping software.

Working Conditions:

  • 70% in a manufacturing office environment with central air and fluorescent lighting.
  • 30% on the manufacturing production floor, which may involve exposure to loud noise, hazardous equipment, and variable lighting conditions.
