Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. As a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play a crucial role in our vibrant primary care team, ensuring exceptional healthcare services to our community.

The CMA or LPN will be responsible for a variety of clinical support tasks, including assisting healthcare providers, performing blood draws, administering injections, conducting lab tests, preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, and managing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system. This role is essential in facilitating patient appointments and completing necessary referral documentation.

Qualifications:
  • Valid certification and registration as a Certified Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients in transitioning to and from examination rooms, preparing them for assessments, and supporting them during procedures.
  • Support healthcare providers during examinations, which may involve taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document patient information in accordance with established protocols, including completing referral forms and lab requisitions.
  • Perform basic medical tasks such as blood draws and specimen collection, as well as conducting fundamental diagnostic tests.
  • Prepare examination areas, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and equipped to provide a safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control standards.
  • Deliver compassionate care to patients, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
  • Provide exceptional service to patients from diverse backgrounds, ensuring an inclusive healthcare experience.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of ongoing learning.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
