Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to enhance our healthcare team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in a primary care setting.

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for a variety of clinical support tasks, including assisting healthcare providers, performing blood draws, administering injections, conducting lab tests, preparing patients for examinations, and managing vital signs. Proficiency in utilizing the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is essential for this position, including reviewing and preparing patient encounters and completing necessary referral documentation.


Core Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients in navigating to and from examination rooms, ensuring they are prepared for their appointments.
  • Support healthcare providers during examinations, which may involve measuring vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and document patient information according to established protocols, including the completion of referral forms and lab requisitions.
  • Perform essential medical procedures, including blood draws and specimen collection, as well as conducting basic diagnostic tests.
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean, well-stocked, and equipped to provide a safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control standards.
  • Deliver compassionate care to patients, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
  • Ensure exceptional care for patients from diverse backgrounds, fostering an inclusive healthcare environment.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous professional development.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Current certification and registration as a Certified Medical Assistant.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
