Position Summary:
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Sales Associate serves as the customer service expert within the store. Their primary responsibility is to surpass customer expectations by attentively addressing customer needs, identifying suitable products, providing comprehensive product information, and successfully completing sales transactions.
Key Duties:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Uphold brand and operational standards (visual presentation, cleanliness, etc.).
- Proactively address customer needs and surpass expectations by adhering to the U.N.I.Q.L.O. service standard, following the Uniqlo Fundamental Principles, and utilizing the 6 standard phrases.
- Be well-versed in fitting room protocols and assist as necessary.
- Function as a cashier when required, adhering to cashier procedures.
- Manage inventory and ensure all merchandise is displayed on the sales floor in full size runs.
- Assist management in identifying and resolving store-related issues.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and report any infractions to management.
- Support special projects as assigned by management.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Capability to perform calculations involving discounts and percentages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, read computer screens, and lift or carry objects weighing at least 25 pounds.
- Proficient in navigating the sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D., or 6 months of retail or related experience.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that accommodates business needs, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
- Average of 12 or more hours per week based on business seasonality.
- Open availability on weekends (religious exemptions will be considered).
