Field Service Technician, Regional - Michigan Territory

Nidec Minster Corporation is seeking a dedicated Regional Field Service Technician to operate primarily within the Michigan area. This role involves delivering technical assistance and maintenance services to support clients with their Minster equipment. The technician will oversee and guide personnel in the setup of machinery at client facilities and provide training on the correct maintenance and operation of Minster products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical and maintenance support for metal forming machinery.
  • Commission new and refurbished equipment at customer locations.
  • Conduct audits of client machinery and document any necessary repairs.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports in English, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
  • Encourage the purchase of service parts and preventative maintenance agreements.
  • Adapt work hours to meet customer service demands.
  • Travel extensively, with over 75% of travel focused in the Michigan region.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in electrical and electronic troubleshooting and installation methods.
  • Experience in mechanical press repair and familiarity with manufacturing machinery.
  • Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to represent Nidec Minster Corporation positively in various settings.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to engage in both domestic and international travel.
  • Candidates should be residents of the Michigan area or open to relocating.
  • Preferred candidates will be located near major cities in Michigan.
