Your primary focus will be on building strong relationships with donors and ensuring the successful progression of donors and prospects through the moves management process.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full lifecycle of fundraising for a portfolio of planned giving prospects and donors: Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit planned giving prospects and donors, with a focus on building strong relationships and ensuring successful progression through the moves management process.
- Ensure moves management and a properly balanced portfolio: Regularly review and update donor portfolios to ensure a balanced and strategic approach to fundraising.
- Collaborate across the organization to identify and secure new donors: Work closely with the communications, marketing, programs, and other development teams to identify and secure new donors and prospects.
- Develop and implement cultivation strategies: Create and implement effective cultivation strategies to build strong relationships with donors and prospects.
- Create donor communications: Develop and implement donor communications, including proposals and stewardship reports, to ensure donors feel valued and appreciated.
- Utilize wealth screening tools: Utilize wealth screening tools to gain new prospects and identify potential donors.
- Travel to meet with prospects and current donors: Travel up to 75% of the time to meet with prospects and current donors, building strong relationships and ensuring successful fundraising efforts.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of nonprofit fundraising or related experience: Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising or a related field, with a focus on planned giving.
- Bachelor's degree or more extensive experience: A bachelor's degree or more extensive experience in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated experience with the full lifecycle of fundraising for planned gifts: Proven experience with the full lifecycle of fundraising for planned gifts, including identification, cultivation, and solicitation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors and prospects.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM: Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM, with the ability to utilize the system to manage donor relationships and track fundraising efforts.
- Valid state-issued driver's license: A valid state-issued driver's license, with the ability to travel for donor meetings and organization events.
