Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Cable Assembler to join our team. As a Fiber Cable Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and testing fiber optic cables to meet customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly and Testing: Assemble and test fiber optic cables to meet customer specifications, including preparing, terminating, polishing, and testing fiber connectors.
- Cable Preparation: Prepare different types of cables, including armored and non-armored cables, outside plant cables, loose tube, tight buffer micro distribution, and others.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test fiber optic cables to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
- Communication: Read and interpret customer technical drawings and written work orders, and communicate with team members and management as needed.
- Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- Education: High School Education or GED
- Experience: 1-3+ years of related assembling experience in fiber cable assembly, or hands-on experience in assembly of electro-mechanical products, preferably connector or cable assemblies
- Skills: Attention to detail, ability to read and interpret technical drawings and written work orders, effective communication skills, and a professional demeanor
