Assembly Technician

Under close supervision, the Assembler C position is responsible for assembling electro-mechanical parts and performing inner chassis wiring connections using various tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of standard hardware installation sequences and be able to read hardware descriptions on Engineering BOMs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble electro-mechanical parts and perform inner chassis wiring connections using various tools.
• Assemble magnetic assemblies through all stages of the process, from core and coil assembly to final assembly.
• Perform simple to semi-complex cable assembly per shop order instructions and engineering drawings.
• Comply with company safety rules and regulations.
• Responsible for the accuracy of time charging on job performed.
• Responsible for keeping work area clean and well organized.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Minimum 2-5 years experience assembling electro/mechanical hardware as stated above, preferably to military requirements and specifications.
• Must be able to read and understand both written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be a US citizen.
Preferred Skills:
• Ability to pass soldering test and be certified ANSI-J-STD-001 and/or IPC610 as required.
