Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team at Hilb Group. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for supporting various aspects of the accounting and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teammates to prepare, review, and analyze financial results and statements.
  • Assist in the month, quarter, and year-end close process.
  • Provide technical accounting support on various transactions, including the application of ASC 606 and 340.
  • Maintain Balance sheet and Income statement analytics and flux analysis monthly.
  • Perform/review Income Statement accuracy analysis and correct recording of accounting requirements.
  • Complete the company's quarterly compliance certificate and assist with correspondence to our creditors.
  • Maintain Debt and Hedge Models and supporting schedules.
  • Record and track the Companies fixed and Intangible Assets.
  • Assist the Company with purchase price entries.
  • Interact with external Auditors in support of the annual financial statement audit.
  • Assist in formally documenting transaction processes and related controls.
  • Provide support to controllership team on special projects as needed.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting or Corporate Accounting/Finance.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required).
  • Very strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated project management skills, ability to prioritize among multiple deliverables.
  • Self-motivated and effective team player.
  • Candidates should have a proven track record of utilizing technology to continuously improve efficiencies in financial processes.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus, not required.
