Industrial Engineer Role Summary

The Manufacturing Team at Anduril Industries seeks an exceptional Industrial Engineer to join their team responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware.

This role offers the opportunity to optimize Anduril's manufacturing operations for best-in-class quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization while meeting critical customer deployment and internal development timelines.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in taking a data-driven approach to designing production lines and associated manufacturing processes to achieve these objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owning the metrics, KPIs, and reporting associated with monitoring production line health and efficiency.
  • Producing and maintaining tools and reports to communicate the health of manufacturing operations across products.
  • Designing new production lines and work station layouts, leveraging a data-driven approach using techniques such as Value Stream Mapping/Process Mapping/Line Balancing.
  • Proactively identifying imbalances and bottlenecks caused by line layout, parts shortages, staffing shortages, and other production constraints.
  • Reporting and analyzing manufacturing health, ensuring stakeholders have the necessary inputs to make informed decisions.
Requirements
  • 2+ years' experience in a high-rate manufacturing environment in either a production or supply chain-type role where complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies were built with heavy data utilization.
  • Experience managing and organizing large capital expenditure budgets, factory design, material flow, and digital systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to completely own a value chain from start to finish, coordinating among multiple internal and external parties to achieve on-time deliveries under stringent quality standards.
  • Prior knowledge and interaction with a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for production operations.
  • Strong technical ability to read technical documentation such as drawings and CAD data, understanding various hardware manufacturing processes for both electronics and structures, mechanical components, and electromechanical systems.
Estimated Salary Range

$100,000-$186,000 USD per year, based on market rates and industry standards.
