Position Overview:
As the Engineering Team Lead, you will oversee a dedicated group responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of application software and data pipelines for both real-time and batch processing. Your role will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and quality of data systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments within FedEx Ground, including Data Science, E-Commerce, and Supply Chain Solutions, to deliver impactful platform enhancements and customer-focused solutions.
- Guide delivery teams in building, deploying, and maintaining data processing infrastructures that support intricate analyses across different teams.
- Assess and implement best practices, including API-First and Service-Oriented Architecture principles, to enhance web-based applications, APIs, and data access methodologies.
- Ensure compliance with best practices to maintain the reliability, security, and privacy of all data assets.
- Mentor and coach team members to achieve results and foster effective collaboration across multifunctional teams.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a quantitative field, along with 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 5 years of experience in similar roles.
- Proven expertise in data engineering and machine learning frameworks, with a focus on the design and implementation of complex systems and data pipelines.
- In-depth knowledge of Information Systems, including the development of large-scale transaction-based systems.
- Strong familiarity with the transportation sector and its evolving technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in planning or consulting environments, with a history of working as a senior member of cross-functional project teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
