Job Overview

The Ferguson-Florissant School District invites applications for the position of Educational Program Coordinator. This role is pivotal in steering educational initiatives and associated services under the guidance of school leadership. Responsibilities include strategizing, developing, executing, and ensuring the effective delivery of curriculum and instructional programs, as well as orchestrating comprehensive professional development sessions for the entire school. Key Responsibilities
  1. Observe, mentor, and assist teaching staff to guarantee that educational practices are consistently purposeful, engaging, and challenging, fostering a nurturing and structured classroom environment.
  2. Evaluate and monitor educator performance.
  3. Assist in the lesson planning process and provide constructive feedback to educators regarding their instructional methods.
  4. Identify areas for instructional improvement and propose timely solutions.
  5. Foster collaborative relationships that positively influence student success; work closely with school leadership, professional learning communities, and department heads.
  6. Encourage positive student behavior and build rapport with students; communicate individual academic progress effectively.
  7. Facilitate meetings and processes to meet curriculum standards and ensure compliance with educational mandates.
  8. Oversee various administrative functions within the school to uphold district and state policies while enhancing student achievement.
  9. Present information regarding budgetary matters and educational processes to ensure transparency and adherence to established protocols.
  10. Support school leadership in providing instructional guidance.
Qualifications
  1. A Master's degree in education with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
  2. Exceptional communication skills, including proficiency in writing, speaking, and listening.
  3. Experience in working with adult learners, particularly in coaching and facilitating professional development.
  4. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Knowledge and Skills

Proven ability to utilize data to inform instructional practices, with a solid understanding of effective teaching methodologies that yield results.

Experience in coaching educators and leveraging feedback to enhance teaching practices.

Capacity to cultivate a classroom atmosphere where students feel secure, supported, and intellectually stimulated.

Commitment to ensuring all students achieve or exceed grade-level expectations.

Determination to set and accomplish ambitious educational goals, along with strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
