Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) or Family Practice team at Southeastern Integrated Care LLC. This role requires a skilled and compassionate professional to provide person-centered services, addressing the diverse needs of beneficiaries and helping them achieve their personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the medication system in collaboration with the psychiatrist, administer, and document medication treatment.
  • Screen and monitor beneficiaries for medical problems and side effects, including nursing assessments and completion of AIMS.
  • Build rapport and engagement with beneficiaries.
  • Engage in health promotion, prevention, and education activities.
  • Develop strategies to maximize medication adherence, working with beneficiaries and psychiatric care providers.
  • Communicate and coordinate services with other medical providers.
  • Educate the team on monitoring psychiatric symptoms and medication side-effects.
  • Provide crisis response to beneficiaries experiencing a crisis.
  • Attend daily ACT team meetings and actively participate.
  • Prepare oral medications for delivery and administer injectables as prescribed.
  • Direct and supervise LPN staff.
  • Accurately document all billable encounters into Southeastern Integrated Care's EMR system within 24 hours.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse position oversees Nurse (LPN) staff.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate must possess:

  • Minimum one year of experience working with adults with serious mental illness.
  • Associate's Degree of Nursing for (RN).

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge of psychiatric medications.
  • Ability to empathetically interact with beneficiaries and their families.
  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Operate independently or with minimal supervision.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Valid NC Nursing License or Compact License that allows practice in NC.
  • Copy of a valid, unrestricted NC Driver's license, proof of insurance.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to drive and operate a personal vehicle safely and adhere to all applicable state and traffic laws.
