We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Department Manager to oversee the Family Practice department at our Geiger Gibson Community Health Center in Dorchester. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direction and supervision of nursing services, ensuring exceptional patient care and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Summary

This Clinical Nurse Manager position offers a rewarding opportunity to lead and coach clinical staff, while contributing to our mission-driven work. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in supervisory experience, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership: Supervise Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and related support staff, ensuring effective day-to-day operations and meeting quality standards.
  • Patient Care Coordination: Coordinate patient flow within the clinic, collaborating with Practice Directors and Site Medical Directors to address operational issues.
  • Staff Development: Hire, orient, evaluate, and discipline staff members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Nursing Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (RN required; BSN/MSN preferred).
  • Clinical Experience: At least 3 years of experience in clinical nursing and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, intermediate computer proficiency (Electronic Medical Record, MS Office, Windows), and attention to detail.
Benefits and Compensation

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous PTO plan (20 days) and 11 additional holidays, as well as opportunities for student loan repayment through National Health Service Corps/Public Service Loan Forgiveness and State Programs. The estimated salary range for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
