Physician - Department of Urology-General Urologist (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
Job Summary:The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center are seeking a General Urologist to join the Department of Urology. The successful candidate will be a board-certified or board-eligible urologist with expertise in adult general urology, including diagnosis, consultation, and treatment of adult patients with various disorders of the genitourinary system.
Responsibilities:- Performs surgical procedures where assigned.
- Directs and provides direct and indirect patient care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Conducts ambulatory clinics, interviews, obtains and reviews medical history of patients, performs physical examinations, orders special procedures, diagnostic testing, and other ancillary services.
- Responds to consultation requests, determines, prescribes, and implements treatment plans and/or medications required, documents all services and instructions provided in the medical record.
- Edits patients and promotes wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials, resources, and services to patients and their families.
- Responds and maintains open communication with referring physicians.
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), board certified or board eligible in specialization required.
- Eligible for State of Ohio and DEA licensure.
