Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Culinary Specialist to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to ensure they are nutritious and properly flavored, in accordance with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the cooking activities of food service associates and ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including entrees and desserts, following established recipes and guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and refrigerators, and ensure that all equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Store and label food items according to company policies and procedures, and maintain organized storage of dry goods and refrigerated and frozen products.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of food supply, and comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations.
  • Assist in the cross-training of employees and perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, and ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Excellent cooking and preparation skills, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of food service associates.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
