Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to assist our Executive Chef and Sous Chef in maintaining kitchen organization and creative menu development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining kitchen organization and creative menu development
  • Ensure food quality and freshness, and monitor ordering and stocking
  • Provide guidance to kitchen staff members, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
  • Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
  • Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
  • Manage food and product ordering, keeping detailed records and managing budgetary concerns
  • Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards
  • Manage food storage units to meet standards and maintain consistency

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a qualified kitchen
  • A passion for hospitality, food and beverage, and the guest experience
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
  • Strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
  • Creative and team-oriented
  • Fine dining experience a plus
