Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to assist our Executive Chef and Sous Chef in maintaining kitchen organization and creative menu development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining kitchen organization and creative menu development
- Ensure food quality and freshness, and monitor ordering and stocking
- Provide guidance to kitchen staff members, including line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
- Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
- Train new kitchen employees to restaurant and kitchen standards
- Manage food and product ordering, keeping detailed records and managing budgetary concerns
- Ensure the kitchen and production areas are clean and maintained at highest safety standards
- Manage food storage units to meet standards and maintain consistency
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a qualified kitchen
- A passion for hospitality, food and beverage, and the guest experience
- Ability to read and follow recipes and standards
- Strong organizational and creative problem-solving skills
- The ability to comfortably lead a team in a busy atmosphere
- Creative and team-oriented
- Fine dining experience a plus
