At Johnson Controls, we're committed to creating purposeful solutions that propel the world forward. We're seeking a skilled Fire Service Technician III to join our team of top professionals. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you'll provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair installed fire alarm systems, including panel repair/reprogram, device replacement/repair, and system testing.
  • Organize and utilize technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of all assigned tasks.
  • Possess excellent written/verbal communication and outstanding customer service skills.
  • Program fire alarm, security, and access control system panels.
  • Experience with CCTV and IT and IP networks is a plus.
  • Complete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities are running efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound, and communications systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
  • Good working knowledge of computers is necessary.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Retain any licenses that are required by National, State, and Local codes.

Preferred:

  • Technical training preferred.
  • NICET II preferred.
