As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Outpatient Obstetrics/Gynecology Clinic. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LVN to join our team in Fontana, California.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Direct Patient Care: Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, you will provide nursing care to patients, including vital sign measurements, wound care, and administering medications.
- Assist with Medical Procedures: You will assist physicians and other medical staff with examinations and treatments, including selecting and passing instruments, providing support and restraint to patients, and draping.
- Document Patient Information: You will accurately document patient information, including medical history, treatment plans, and test results, in our electronic health record system.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: You will work closely with our healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: You will ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection prevention and control policies and procedures.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of LVN experience in a medical office, acute care, or skilled nursing facility setting required.
- Licensure: Current Vocational Nurse License (California) required; Basic Life Support certification preferred.
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II required.
- OB/GYN Experience: Previous experience in obstetrics/gynecology preferred.
