Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at The Children\u0027s Clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services to our community.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse will be responsible for providing safe and effective patient care, assisting clinic providers with treatments and procedures, and performing clerical duties as defined in the Licensed Vocational Nurse Scope of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient flow and ensure timely delivery of quality patient care
  • Request laboratory and X-ray orders from specialty offices or primary care physicians
  • Document patient history within our electronic medical record system
  • Refill medication requests and obtain prior authorizations as needed
  • Provide patient education and case management support
  • Administer vaccines and oversee medical assistant schedules
  • Ensure timely completion of mail and fax correspondence
  • Fill out forms and forward to providers as necessary
Requirements:
  • Completion of high school or equivalent required
  • Completion of vocational school and LVN training required
  • Current LVN license in the State of California required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • CPR/BLS certification and phlebotomy certificate required
  • Minimum one year experience in an outpatient setting preferred
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
