Job Summary:

As a valued member of our Adventist Health team, the Imaging Assistant - Per Diem Days will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of patients to and from the diagnostic imaging department. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Transportation: Safely transport patients to and from the diagnostic imaging department, ensuring that patient support systems are in place at all times.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report any changes in patient condition during the transportation process to nurses and/or technologists.
  • Patient Flow Management: Assist with managing the imaging department's patient flow to ensure efficient and timely completion of exams.
  • Procedural Support: Assist with setting up procedural trays using sterile techniques and preparing contrast injectors for exams.
  • Environmental Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized environment, including stretchers, wheelchairs, blanket warmers, and linens.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Education/GED or equivalent is preferred.
  • Work Experience: Two years' customer service experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
